Saul Niguez taunts Atletico Madrid with social media post about announcing new club

- Saul Niguez has been heavily linked with a move to Man United

- Arsenal have also joined the chase for the midfielder with Mikel Arteta trying to build his team

- The midfielder dropped a hint on Twitter saying he will announce a new club in a few days time

Spanish midfielder Saul Niguez has left the fans guessing the next club he will join despite having a deal with Atletico Madrid until the summer of 2026.

The 25-year-old midfielder who has scored four goals in 37 appearances for the La Liga side this campaign has continually been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Niguez teased his fans on social media over the weekend after saying: "New club. I'll announce it in three days."

It is unsure how true his claims are but Sky Sports reports that it would be the first time Atletico fans will have to deal with players creating a buzz around their departure from the club.

According to Goal.com, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has also shown interest in the Spain international but it is now left to be seen which of the two clubs he has in mind to announce.

The midfielder's cryptic post on social media has now driven engagement among the supporters and some are hoping he meant another thing entirely.

About two years, Antoine Griezmann pulled a similar stunt after releasing a 30 minutes documentary on whether to stay or join Barcelona.

The broadcast had no clear vision with one part of the ending claimed the Frenchman would stay, while the other said he would go as reported by Sky Sport.

But he ended up staying at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium for another one year until he finally joined the Catalans.
