- Super Eagles are set to be limited to a few friendly matches in the coming months

- Reports claim the federal government have reduced their financing with the NFF by 30 per cent

- Gernot Rohr's men played two Grade A friendlies against Ukraine and Brazil in 2019

The Super Eagles might not be involved in matches when the international window as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) claim it would cost N300million to execute one game.

According to renowned sports journalist Colin Udoh, the federal government have reduced their budget by 30 per cent to organize a warm-up game for the national team.

This means Gernot Rohr will not have the luxury of assembling players for a friendly match with other teams around the world.

"Pinnick also says under the current situation, it will cost @thenff about N300m to organize one @NGSuperEagles game. Says budget has been cut by about 30% by FG," Colin Udon wrote on his official Twitter handle.

The Super Eagles were involved in two Grade A friendlies in 2019 where they played a draw 2-2 draw with Ukraine and another 1-1 draw with Brazil.

After that, the three-time African champions have played two AFCON 2021 qualifiers with Togo and Lesotho which ended in wins for the Green and White.

Rohr recently renewed his contract with the Super Eagles and has been given the target to win an AFCON title and qualify the nation to another World Cup berth in 2022.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move to two top Premier League outfits this summer.

The 21-year-old was lethal in his first season in the French League, scoring 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances across competitions for Lille.

He was brought in by Les Dogues from Sporting Charleroi as a replacement for Ivorian star Nicolas Pepe who joined the Gunners in the club's record fee valued around £72.

Legit.ng also reported that Daniel Akpeyi has claimed that he overhead his Super Eagles teammate telling somebody on the phone that he should not be invited to play in the national team.

The Super Eagles shot-stopper has come under immense pressure in his playing career from his teammates and the fans at large.

Akpeyi committed a blunder against Argentina in a pre-World cup at friendly that resulted into a set-piece and a goal.
