Specifically, Pastor Adeboye, during a live broadcast on Dove Television on Sunday, May 31, said that there will be a lot of childbirths after the lockdown is lifted, The Nation reports.
In his sermon, the renowned Nigerian Christian cleric said: “Let me warn pastors, now I’m busy you are resting.
"Early next year, you will be very busy. As a result of the lockdown, you will have a lot of baby naming ceremonies. David, Elijah, Joseph, and some others became great during a lockdown.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Adeboye had assured Nigerians that the coronavirus pandemic would be history in the country in no time.
Speaking on a live broadcast at the Easter service, Pastor Adeboye told all Christian faithful that the latest good news is that God Almighty is in control of the situation.
Furthermore, the famous cleric prophesied that the disease will be over soon. He said: “I want to bring good news to someone. I want to tell you that my God is not dead, he is alive.
“Not only is alive, but he is also in control. If you have any doubt at all the situation in the recent past should show you clearly that he is in control."
The pastor called on the government and people of Nigeria not to relax in the fight against the disease even while victory is in sight.
He insisted that the global pandemic will come to an end when the whole world finally realises that God was in charge.
He added: “Until the whole world has had a compulsory holiday. I hope you are enjoying your holiday?"
