1. Hausa - 78 million
The Hausa has 78 million people in different countries.
2. Igbo - 45 million
With 45 million people, the Igbo is the second most populous ethnic group in Africa.
3. Yoruba - 44 million
Trailing the Igbo is the Yoruba tribe, which has 44 million people.
4. Oromo - 40 million
The Oromo ethnic group has 40 million people.
5. Fulani - 35 million
The Fulani has 35 million people, making it the fifth most populous ethnic group in Africa.
6. Amhara - 20.2 million
The sixth most populous ethnic group in Africa is the Amhara.
7. Akan - 20 million
Akan is the seventh most populous ethnic group in Africa.
8. Somali - 20 million
Trailing the Akan is the Somali, which has 20 million people.
9. Hutu - 18.5 million
Number nine on the list is the Hutu, with 18.5 million people.
10. Ijaw - 15 million
The Ijaw is the tenth most populous ethnic group in Africa with 15 million people.
In other news, there are interesting facts about the Hausa tribe. The tribe is the largest ethnic group in Africa with 78 million people.
The Hausa language is the second most spoken indigenous language with 120 million speakers.
Those who speak the language can be found in Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Benin, Cameroon, Togo, Central African Republic, Ghana, Sudan, Eritrea, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Senegal, and The Gambia.

The lady named Deborah Laryea decided to start making ladies' hair from house-to-house.
Interestingly, Deborah indicated that the styles of hair she has been making are purely from her own imagination as she never learnt the skill.
"I imagine it and my hands replicate my imagination," she said.
Deborah graduated in 2018 and completed her national service in 2019 with Ghana Manganese Company Ltd as a Health Safety and Environment officer where her performance was also excellent.
