Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has been named Nantes' best player for the 2019-20 league season.

The 24-year-old was quite impressive for the Canaries after joining them on a season-long loan deal from La Liga side Levante last year.

He scored eight goals and nine assists in 30 appearances in the process and polled a total of 40 percent votes to emerge as the team's best player for the campaign.

Lille said on their official website: "With 9 goals and 8 assists in 30 games played, all competitions combined, Moses Simon left a lasting impression.

"Here he is elected "Canary of the 2019-2020 season by ILIANE", by you, supporters of the Yellow and Green.

"With 40% of the votes allocated among more than 3,500 voters, Moses Simon was therefore rewarded by Nantes fans for his very beautiful performances in the yellow and green tunic."

It is, however, left to be seen if the Canaries are impressed enough to make his loan deal permanent.

The Nigerian star joined Levante in a five-year deal two years ago but struggled for game time at the Spanish League side. earlier reported that Moses Simon will be forever grateful this period that many lives have been lost as he welcomed a bouncing baby girl into his family amid the global pandemic.

The Nantes star could not hide his emotions as he wrote a post on social media giving thanks to God and showing appreciation to his wife.
