Premier League: 4 more people test positive to deadly coronavirus

- Premier League have recorded four more cases of coronavirus

- The League body are yet to reveal the identities of the new people

- Fourth round of tests for Premier League clubs will start on Thursday

The return of the suspended Premier League season has been thrown into another uncertainty after four more people from top clubs were tested positive for coronavirus.

Premier League chiefs recently ordered for the third round of testing where four more people have been confirmed as carriers of the virus which is not a good one for the English topflight.

But according to the report on Sky Sports, the identities of these four have not been revealed as no one can really tell if they are players, officials or staffs of the Premier League clubs.

Fourth round of tests is expected to commence on Thursday and Friday this week in which up to 60 people will be tested in each club.

"Of these, four have tested positive from three clubs.

"Players or club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate for a period of seven days,'' Premier League explained in official statement.

Premier League games have been suspended since March this year in which players were ordered to isolate themselves from contracting the virus.

They have however started training with the hopes that the Premier League season will resumes as soon as possible.

Some Leagues in other part of the world have been cancelled, while the Spanish La Liga have also gotten a date of resuming the season in June.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how wife of former Premier League star Pavel Pogrebnyak confirmed that the condition of her husband is now in critical stage after contracting deadly coronavirus.

Maria Shatalova also stated that herself and the three children have also contracted the virus as they stay home on isolation with hopes of recovering quick.

Pavel Pogrebnyak who played for Reading and West Ham United in the Premier League was reported to have contracted the virus while training in Russia.

And his current condition has worsen according to what his wife explained claiming that the 36-year-old is having double pneumonia.

The mother of three also explained that is is now impossible for her to eat or even drink water since she contracted the virus from here husband.
