Two corps members Felicia Haruna and Mark Makafan Odi are set to get married after they met at the Mangu orientation camp in Plateau state.

The couple's story was shared on the state's NYSC Facebook page.

Felicia, who is from Kaduna state and Odi, who hails from Kogi state, happened to be in the same platoon. The couple started as friends before their feelings blossomed into love.

Appreciating the NYSC scheme for bringing them together, they extended an invitation to their state coordinator Caroline Embu who commended the intending couple for keeping faith with their heart desire.

"Their wedding ceremony is scheduled to hold at St Peter Claver Catholic Church Cathedral Kafanchan, Kaduna state on Saturday, May 30, 2020, by 10:00 am, two days after their Passing-Out from National Service," it reads.

A Twitter user shared a sweet post of the couple who happened to be her parents and social media was abuzz with shock and joy in equal measure. Only identified as Africanprize, the lady wished her folks happier days ahead as she praised their dedication to each other.

The excited woman showed off a photo of her parents back when they were young and all that could be seen in their eyes was unending love.

In another story, actor Kanayo O. Kanayo advised ladies against throwing expensive wedding parties.

Kanayo urged them to learn how to focus on building a peaceful and successful marriage as opposed to focusing more on the wedding aspect.

Speaking further, the actor who noted that his advice comes from experience submitted that expensive marriages have no way of guaranteeing a successful married life. He urged single ladies to save up as they would soon start welcoming children after getting married.
