Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala is reportedly finding it difficult to return home as reports have it that she is stranded at her base in Spain due to the coronavirus induced lockdown.

GOAL reports that the Barcelona striker as well as Namibia’s Zenatha Coleman who plays for Valencia, have indicated that they would like to return home to spend time with their families.

This is coming as a result of the cancellation of the Spanish Primera Iberdrola earlier this month due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Both stars are the latest players that have called for help in a bid to return home from after SL Benfica striker Thembi Kgatlana had written to the South African Football Association (Safa) following the cancellation of the Portuguese Liga BPI in April.

Oshoala contributed 26 goals in all competitions for Barcelona, including 20 in 19 league games to emerge as the league's second-highest scorer during the 2019-20 season.

The four-time African Women's Footballer of the Year winner, who observed the Ramadan fast in Spain, revealed she wants to return home to join her family.

She wrote in Pidgin English: "Abeg who get private jey wey him no dey use for now. Please comman carry me from barcelona to Lagos, I want to go home."

Asisat then pleaded with music sensation Davido to lend her his jet.

Oshoala recently won her maiden Spanish Primera Iberdrola title with Barcelona Femeni. The country's football body crowned the Catalan club champions following their inability to conclude the season due to deadly coronavirus.

A statement released by the Royal Spanish Football Federation revealed that the body made attempts to wrap up the season but their failure to meet government's on health guidelines compounded their problems.

This development means the Blaugranes have won the title for the first time since 2015 - bringing their tally to five.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Super Falcons star Francisca Ordega has claimed that Nigeria’s music artiste Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is her lover.

Shanghai Shenhua of China star made this revelation when she was asked what comes to her mind anytime she hears the name of the singer.

The former Washington Spirit forward also explained further that female footballers get body-shamed because of their physique, but she takes time-out to be as fashionable as possible when she steps on to the pitch.
