Wife of former Premier League star Pavel Pogrebnyak has confirmed that the condition of her husband is now in critical stage after contracting deadly coronavirus.

Maria Shatalova also stated that herself and the three children have also contracted the virus as they stay home on isolation with hopes of recovering quick.

Pavel Pogrebnyak who played for Reading and West Ham United in the Premier League was reported to have contracted the virus while training in Russia.

And his current condition has worsen according to what his wife explained claiming that the 36-year-old is having double pneumonia.

''My husband's still in hospital.

''He has a high fever and a cough. It quickly developed into double pneumonia,' Shatalova wrote referring to an infection that affects both lungs.

The mother of three also explained that is is now impossible for her to eat or even drink water since she contracted the virus from here husband.

Pogrebnyak played 12 games for Fulham scoring six goals in the 2011-12 season before switching to Reading and making 103 appearances scoring 26 goals between 2012-15.

Earlier, had reported how Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale expressed shock after being confirmed as carrier of deadly cororavirus as Premier League chiefs prepare to resume the suspended season.

It was on Friday evening, May 25, that the England Under 21 goalkeeper was tested positive for the virus and has been urged to stay on isolation so as people not to contract the virus from him.

According to the report on UK Sun, Aaron Ramsdale saw some symptoms last week in which he was tested and the result came out negative which gave him a rest of mind.

Aaron is reported to have gone to a supermarket recently where he is believed to have contracted the virus which has been killing people everywhere in the world.

While speaking after being confirmed as carrier, Aaron explained that he was so shocked because he never had any contact with outsiders.

He added that he is showing no symptoms of the virus which makes it more difficult for him to believe when the result came out that he is positive.
