SportMediaset journalist Pietro Balzano Prota took to Twitter to share his opinion: "Bad injury for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. "Medical tests are expected but it could be a long stop."

SunSport quoting Sky Sports Italia via Marca claims the ex-Manchester United forward could have ruptured his Achilles tendon.

He was said to have picked up the terrible injury after returning to Milan's training ahead of Serie A's return in the coming days.

However, he will have to undergo medical tests before the extent of his injury could be discovered and how long he is expected to stay on the sidelines.

The way it seems, the 38-year-old is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, with it remaining to be seen whether he will be fit to return this season.

The four-time Ligue 1 winner has chipped in with four goals and one assist in 10 games in all competitions for Milan this term.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be slapped with a heavy fine following his decision to drive an unregistered car on the streets of Stockholm.

The football legend celebrated his 38th birthday buying himself a custom Ferrari car valued around £1.6million last October.

Swedish Transport Agency official Mikael Andersson confirmed that the vehicle's registration has expired since the 30th of March. He said: "It is cancelled and has been since March 30.
