Music boss, Jude Okoye of Northside Inc Label, has finally spoken about the allegations that were leveled against him by the Cynthia Morgan about the inability to use her name.

Jude said that there is nowhere in the world where a court will grant the taking away of a person’s birth name, saying the name Cynthia Morgan is not just a brand name but the name her parents gave her.

The music executive made this known in Instagram live chat he had with Tunde Ednut, adding that move to change her stage name was her decision alone, something he was against.

“I don’t understand, if she has a contract where it is stated like that, she should bring it so we can see. The one I have here is not different. How can I hold her name, which court can grant it?

“You want to do things on your own because you think you can do things on your own, then you failed and you want to put the blame on me," he said.

In the almost one hour live session, Jude said that the singer was still in control of her social media accounts two years after she left the record label.

He said that despite all that, she still went ahead to blame him for her failure, wondering if that is what would shoot her into the limelight again.

“I have never for once told Cynthia Morgan that she cannot use her name. I had no power to take that name, it is physically impossible to do that. Did I chase her with a court injunction? No.

What exactly did I do wrong? I shouldn’t have let you go when I left? Your contract hasn’t expired and you left. I let you go,” he added.

He said that if she has proof that shows that he ever stop her from using her name, she should come forward and present it.

“I shot 13 videos, each worth N2.5m. If I have not made my N40m, why the fu*k should I allow you go? How will I get back my money?,” he added.

In a now edited post on Instagram, Joy said that the singer ruined her own career with her own hands and is only looking for pity now.

She wrote: “Record Label /Management are not a charity organization. As Cynthia Morgan’s formal manager from 2011-2016 who have never spoken out, I can boldly say No one killed your career. Your Pride and your nasty attitude was your downfall.

You used your own hands and mouth to kill your once bubbling career. Since you can’t own up to your downfall of your music career and you are now trying to get people to have sympathy for you after 4 years, let me remind you shortly .”
