Barcelona defender Nelson Semedo has reportedly emerged as summer transfer target for Manchester City who are ready to bolster their squad ahead of next Premier League season.
Pep Guardiola who is the Citizens' manager wants the Portuguese footballer to produce serious competition for England international Kyle Walker at the Etihad stadium.
According to the report on Daily Mail, Manchester City are even ready to give Barcelona Joao Cancelo plus cash for the possibility of them to sign Nelson Semedo this summer.
Cancelo has found active games difficult under Pep Guardiola playing only eight Premier League games for the reigning Premier League champions.
Semedo moved to the Nou Camp from Benfica where he had played alongside Bernardo Silva for the club’s B team when the pair were teenagers.
