Covid-19: Nigerians abroad share bread, other food items to hungry people in UK
- A group in the UK called the Nigerian Community Association are doing all they can to make sure Nigerians do not go hungry during the present Covid-19 pandemic
- The community gives out food to the homeless and other people in great need in Kent and Medway

As the coronavirus pandemic hits the world hard, Nigerian Community Association in the UK is taking care of its own Kent to ensure families do not go hungry.
It should be noted that the group was set up by Nigerians in Kent and Medway as a way to distribute food to people without provisions. They also give to the homeless, those in shelters, and community centres.
The president of the group, Oluseyi Obadare, said that the present circumstances are unlike any event that had happened before.
In the effort to make sure they reach out to more people, Oluseyi said that they have increased the number of volunteers across the board.
He also appreciated the help they have received from private organisations, especially the one from Tesco and its customers.

The president of the organization said that no food is allowed to waste as they make sure they distribute received items within two hours of collection.
Oluseyi also called on those needing help in Kent and Medway to reach out as soon as possible to them so they can benefit from the humanitarian effort.
It should be noted that the Nigerian group is just one of the several organizations Tesco has supported in its community service. They have also given donations to associations such as Trussell Trust foodbanks, among others.

As a way to make the Muslims in the country have a happy Ramadan celebration, the mission house alongside some private organisations donated food packages and hygiene products to over 3,400 children in various Muslim communities.
It should be noted that the distribution was carried out at Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, widow shelters, and orphanages.
