Top singer, Lana Del Rey, seemed to have had a lot of things in her chest that she finally poured out in a note shared on social media.
The Young and Beautiful hitmaker slammed some of her female music rivals, from Beyonce to Ariana Grande, as she said that they have gotten top spots on music charts despite their songs being about wearing no clothes, cheating and sex.
She then asked critics of her music if she can go back to singing whatever she likes without it being said that she is glamorising abuse.
Lana wrote in part: “Question for culture: Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f******, cheating etc.
“Can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money - or whatever I want - without being crucified or saying that I'm glamorizing abuse?”
Explaining further, Lana said that she was fed up with people saying she is glamorising abuse when she is only singing about people’s realities.
The singer then reiterated that she is not a feminist but she feels that there should be a place in feminism for people like her who get their voices taken away from them by stronger women or men who hate women.
She also said that she had been honest about the challenging relationships she had and that it is the same with most women.

Many fans of the mentioned female stars also took to their social media pages to slam Lana Del Rey. According to them, the other ladies had also been through a lot over their music.
