Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House On The Rock has joined the fight against COVID-19 as he donated essential items to the Lagos state government.

The cleric donated protective clothing, hand gloves, face masks, disposable fibre shoe covers and medical glasses to the state government.

He also thanked health workers who are risking their lives for the people as the country battles the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pastor Adefarasin also expressed his gratitude to the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the commissioner for health, Professor Akin Abayomi, for their commitment towards eradicating the deadly disease.

In other news, health workers in the United Kingdom have celebrated the recovery of a Nigerian doctor who was diagnosed with coronavirus.

Doctor Olagunju Ogunbiyi, who works at the Royal Free Hospital in the United Kingdom, said he had never been hospitalised prior to the COVID-19 illness.

When he was being discharged, Doctor Ogunbiyi thanked the health workers for taking care of him.

According to his colleagues, the best doctor battled to save his life because he's 'irreplaceable'.
