Mauricio Pochettino: Real Madrid to battle Newcastle United for former Tottenham manager

- Mauricio Pochettino can now join any club of his choice

- The 48-year-old signed a deal preventing him managing any Premier League club six months after leaving Spurs

- That arrangement seems over now and Real Madrid can now re-ignite their interest in hiring him

Real Madrid have been handed a boost in their chase for former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino this summer.

The Argentine has been out of job since last November after parting ways with his former Premier League side barely six months after taking them to their first Champions League final.

While leaving the North London side, he was said to have signed a deal preventing him from taking any EPL job for a period of six months, and that appears to have expired this week.
