- Corentin Tolisso has endured a torrid spell at Bayern since his 2017 move from Lyon
- Tolisso has made just one start for the Bavarians this season, with his situation attracting Man United's interest
- However, United will have to contend with competition from Inter Milan, Juventus, Napoli and Atletico Madrid
Corentin Tolisso has become a surprise summer target for Premier League giants Manchester United.
United are understood to have unsuccessfully tried to lure Tolisso to Old Trafford during the winter transfer window.
The 25-year-old became Bundesliga's most expensive player after he completed a sensational switch to Bayern from Lyon in 2017 in a £37million deal.
However, the star midfielder has failed to live up to his billing, with a serious knee injury during the 2018/19 campaign taking a huge toll on his progress.
He has subsequently suffered lack of regular time, with his manager Hans-Dieter Flick limiting him to just one start in eight of his appearances for the club this season.
His situation has since put Man United on red alert, with the Premier League giants said to be keen on a summer move for the World Cup-winning star.
The Red Devils reportedly view Tolisso as a perfect replacement for Paul Pogba who is unsettled at the club amid Juventus and Real Madrid interest.
Whereas Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains keen to keep Pogba, he is recognises the need to be prepared for his potential exit.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Wayne Rooney has revealed that former Man United Park Ji-sung was as important as Cristiano Ronaldo during their respective spells at Old Trafford.
The Korean midfielder rose to the occasion when called upon by manager Sier Alex Ferguson which won him four Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Legit.ng also reported that Mario Balotelli has received an apology from his international teammate Giorgio Chiellini after he was criticized by the national team captain.
Chiellini said the former Man City striker deserved a slap for his attitude at the 2013 Confederations Cup in his upcoming book.
The Juventus captain also said the ex-Liverpool and Marseille star is a negative person and has no respect for the team.
