Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has expressed displeasure over the state of Nollywood, saying the quality of home videos has dropped drastically.

The actor, who took to his Twitter and Instagram pages to air his opinion, said Nollywood is filled with crappy actors, actresses and directors. notes that Yul said the movie industry cannot continue like this, urging all seasoned practitioners to revive it.

He wrote: "To all seasoned Nollywood practitioners, pls let’s revive it. People love our content all over the world. We just need to step up the quality."

Meanwhile, previously reported that veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie said any man who kneels down to propose to a woman is a fool.

Explaining his reasons, he stated that not only is it a borrowed practice from the western countries, kneeling down signifies handing one's destiny over to a woman.

In other news, a Nigerian identified as Timi Adelakun has made history at South Broward High School in Hollywood, Florida, for being the school's first black valedictorian and for having a 5.6 GPA - the highest ever in the school’s history.

Reacting to the feat, Adelakun said it is a good thing that he made history in the school. He expressed gratitude to the school that helped him academically, Black News reports.

Timi said: “I’ve been taking over 20 college courses worth of credit, and because of that, my AP credits, my Ace credits, and my dual enrollment credits boost my GPA."
