Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel has declared an end to the coronavirus pandemic the country is battling with, saying the deadly disease is becoming history.
Recall that the cleric has been in the news lately for his stance on continuous closure of churches amid the pandemic.
Bishop Oyedepo has been criticised and also been praised for expressing displeasure over continuous closure of churches.
The man of God in a video on his official Twitter page could be seen making a declaration against coronavirus.
He said: "There shall be an outbreak of revival across every church, every ministry, as an aftermath of this noisome pestilence.
"Coronavirus will become history. It will be cheaper than malaria fever. It will become extinct. Coronavirus is declared dead.
"Whatever wants to kill the church, God will kill it. So, the church comes against you coronavirus and you are grinded (sic) to powder. This demon called coronavirus that has held the people captive across the nation over several weeks, the prison gate is open."
The cleric also prayed for all the victims of the deadly disease, saying they shall not die but live.
In other news, a Nigerian man has expressed dissatisfaction over the way the government is tackling coronavirus cases in the country.
The unidentified man said if the cases become more than what they are, a lot of Nigerians will be dying on the streets and the government will do nothing about it.
According to the man, Nigerian pastors are like Ronaldo, Messi and Okocha who are using their talents to enrich themselves. The man said there's nothing like the holy spirit in Nigeria.
He said he is sometimes afraid to call himself a Nigerian because nothing is working in the country.
The man said COVID-19 is a warning from God to humanity, adding that God wants people to move closer to him.
