- Mario Balotelli and Giorgio Chiellini has not been in good terms in the past
- The Juventus defender once told his Italian teammate that he deserved a slap
- The pair met on a TV show recently and settled their differences
Mario Balotelli has received an apology from his international teammate Giorgio Chiellini after he was criticized by the national team captain.
Chiellini said the former Man City striker deserved a slap for his attitude at the 2013 Confederations Cup in his upcoming book.
The Juventus captain also said the ex-Liverpool and Marseille star is a negative person and has no respect for the team.

Balotelli's vocal nature made him hit back at the defender on Instagram saying: “At least I have the sincerity and courage to say things face to face.
“You've had plenty of opportunities since 2013 to behave like a real man but you didn't.”
Then the pair appeared on a TV show called Le Iene and fireworks were expected but the reverse was the case as both players looked to have settled their differences.
Chiellini was presented with a signed jersey from Balotelli in the show with a message on it saying: “Even if you unexpectedly stabbed me in the back, I still love you, man.”
While they connected on video chat, the 29-year-old striker said: “It’s the first time in my life that you messed up and I didn’t!”
Chiellini replied: “I envied you! Because in life you have to make mistakes to improve.”
Balotelli threw more light on the negative comment and said: “I didn't expect that from Giorgio. I'm not a negative person, I'm the one who always jokes.”
Chiellini then responded that he had to put criticism in his new book but admitted that he went too far with those comments about Balotelli.
Chiellini was asked whether he would be happy if the two ended up as team-mates again for Italy at the Euros next year, he added: “It would be a pleasure! I have no problems.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo's name was obviously missing in Mario Balotelli's best XI of all time.
The Italian striker picked Barcelona's Lionel Messi and selected two Premier League stars as well as Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario De Lima.
In a Puma Instagram chat with Thierry Henry, the 29-year-old was asked to name his ultimate XI by the Arsenal legend.
