John Obi Mikel has been wooed by several top South American sides and the latest are clubs in the Mexican Liga MX.

According to news media outlet Bein Sport, the former Nigerian is interested in playing in the lucrative Mexican league with several clubs scrambling for his signature.

Mikel has also been linked with moves to top Brazilian Serie A sides Botafogo and Internacional in recent weeks.

The former Super Eagles captain terminated his contract with Turkish giants Trabzonspor on mutual consent during the coronavirus crisis.

The former Chelsea star was in disagreement with club playing matches during the global pandemic which led to his contract being terminated.
