- Osimhen is being eyed by several clubs in England
Latest reports have it that English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur have officially placed a bid for Super Eagles youngster Victor Osimhen, SunSport reports.
There were earlier reports that €85million was earlier tendered for the 21-year-old by an unnamed club, but top France outlet Le10Sport are claiming that the bid came from Spurs.
Earlier speculations have it that one of the PL big clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester United, have tendered that bid.
According to football journalist Abdellah Boulma, Tottenham have submitted a bid to Lille for Osimhen, but the bid value is far lesser than previously thought.
”The #LOSC leaders would have received an offer from @SpursOfficial and not from #ChelseaFC for the Nigerian international #Osimenh, but the amount advanced of 85 M is erroneous and largely overestimated,” Boulma tweeted.
Osimhen has scored 13 goals in Ligue 1 for Lille this season and a move to Tottenham could be on the cards as things stand.
The 21-year-old has already been linked with a move to Liverpool having scored 13 goals in 27 French League appearances in his debut season at Lille.
According to reports in France, his present club have slapped a price tag of about €80 million on the AFCON 2019 bronze medal winner.
The Red Devils are hoping they can land him as a replacement for his compatriot Odion Ighalo whos loan spell expires next month except if they give him an extension.
Osimhen's tally in all competition for his Ligue one outfit stood at 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen appears to have done well enough in his first year in France to attract three top Premier League clubs.
Reports claim the trio of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are impressed with the former youth international and would give everything to secure his services at the end of this season.
The 21-year-old who won bronze medal with the Super Eagles at 2019 AFCON tourney in Egypt last summer is in his first season at his Ligue 1 club Lille and has scored 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
