Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo is reportedly ready to beg Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua not to end his stay at Manchester United now as he wants to play more games for the Red Devils.
The deal Manchester United and the Chinese club had on Odion Ighalo will come to an end this month, and there have been speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford.
According to the report on UK Sun, Shanghai Shenhua are demanding massive sum of £22million from Manchester United for them to have the Nigerian permanently.
The report added that it is either Manchester United agree with their terms or they end Odion Ighalo's contract which will make him to return to China.
Odion Ighalo is now said to be ready to speak with his bosses in China and convince them for him to stay and help Manchester United this season.
The former Watford striker is also ready to take another pay cut at Manchester United so as to make him stay permanently with Solskjaer.
Premier League season is currently on suspension, and there is no definite date yet on when the English topflight will resume because of coronavirus.
Before the season was stopped by the authorities in charge, Odion Ighalo played eight games for the Red Devils scoring four goals.

He was initially signed on loan because of Marcus Rashford’s back injury in January that looked set to keep him out for the rest of the season, but the Englishman is now fit.
Meanwhile, Odion Ighalo has a contract with Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua until 2021.
