My dad beat Covid-19 restriction to give me birthday treat - Lady narrates

It is interesting how humanity is adjusting to the new normal brought on us all by the deadly coronavirus outbreak.

People are rethinking new ways of doing things that used to be ordinary activities that did not require much mental activity to pull off.

A lady with the name Diana has narrated how her dad overcame Covid-19 restriction in the US to give her a special birthday hangout.

According to her, the man drove for roughly nine hours from El Paso to Austin at 5 am to make her special day worthwhile.

The most interesting thing about it all was that they were able to make dinner happen together while maintaining social distancing as they ate 6 feet apart from each other. Diana said they even "air hugged" before he went back to El Paso.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a Nigerian woman with the name Chychy Chukwu posted a video of herself receiving medical care from a coronavirus isolation centre.

In a Twitter post on Friday, May 8, the woman asked God to let the situation end as he said: "God please, let this pass over me!"

She could be heard coughing and groaning in pains as a health working in PPE administered some injection to her.

In other news, a video emerged of Dino Melaye giving money to some banana hawkers, advising them on the need to stay at home and obey the guidelines on coronavirus.

Before the politician gave the hawkers money, he spoke long to them on how they are endangering their lives by going out and selling their wares during the pandemic.

He said that they may not know when they could come in contact with any infected customer. One of the women said that though she knew the danger of doing such, she could not afford to stay at home.

She said she has six children to feed and hearing them cry of hunger is something she cannot bear. The woman added that though she may be able to bear the lockdown effect, her kids cannot.

After listening to their predicament, the politician, therefore, said he would give them some cash so they can get their needs sorted and observe lockdown rule.
