- Odion Ighalo wants to remain at Manchester United this season
- The Nigerian has contract with the Red Devils until the end of May
- Ighalo wants the Premier League season to be over before leaving
Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has expressed his desire to stay at Premier League giants Manchester United until the end of the 2019/20 season in England.
The former Super Eagles man has been playing for Manchester United since he came on as a replacement for injured Marcus Rashford during the January transfer window.
Ighalo has been unable to continue with his brilliant performance for Manchester United this season due to the threat of coronavirus which forced the League to be suspended.
But despite that, Odion Ighalo has been able to score four goals for Manchester United in eight games played since joining in January.
However, the Chinese Super League will get underway in June and Odion Ighalo is expected to leave Manchester United for a return to Shanghai Shenhua.
According to the MEN, Ighalo is desperate to remain at Old Trafford at least until whenever the 2019-20 season concludes.
"I would like to finish the season if it's possible.
"I was in good form, good shape, scoring goals and now we've stopped for over a month. I've given it my best and hopefully we'll come back to play,''
"The team had a good momentum before the pandemic started. At the moment I'm on loan, and this will cut short my time at the club,'' Ighalo told BBC in April.
