- League Management Company says NPFL season not going to China
- This comes after speculation that the body has made the arrangement
- Plateau United are currently topping the suspended NPFL season
The League Management Company (LMC) under the leadership of Mallam Shehu Dikko have rubbished reports of them planning to conclude the season in China.
Nigeria's topflight football has been suspended since March following the continuous threat of deadly coronavirus which has killed many people in the world.
And since the Nigerian League was suspended, there have been talks and meetings among the heads of the League body on what to do next.
Some are of the opinion that the LMC and the NFF should cancel the season and begin plans for next term, while others want the League to continue.
But on Thursday morning, May 5, reports came out in local media that the League Management Company are considering ending the season in China.

This report came as a big surprise for many League followers and pundits who have been in serious argument on the speculation.
LMC has however cleared the air on the development by rubbishing the news and branded it as 'fake'.
As it is now, the League Management Company are still expected to make another announcement on when the League will resume.
But that arrangement will have to be made between them, the Nigeria Football Federation and the Ministry of Sports under Minister Sunday Dare.
Meanwhile, Plateau United are currently topping the League standings with Abdul Maikaba and his wards aiming to lift the trophy when the season comes to an end.
