The Red Devils had tried to sign the 29-year-old shortly before he sealed his £108million switch to Barcelona last year from Atletico Madrid.

Also, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele may also be affected - no thanks to their recent injury problems.

Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal are also said to be available as Barcelona management have informed England’s top clubs.

At the back, Arsenal target Samuel Umtiti is among the defenders available alongside Nelson Semedo and Sergi Roberto.

And lastly, Coutinho looks set to leave Camp Nou this summer after spending this season on loan with Bayern Munich.

Barcelona may have been handed a boost in their chase for Neymar Jr who has reportedly agreed to take a 50 percent wage cut before returning to Camp Nou.

With Ousmane Dembele failing to justify his huge price tag at Camp Nou, Barca chiefs have now penned down the Argentine star as their next target.
