Premier League clubs reportedly plan 2020/21 season behind closed doors

Premier League clubs are now reportedly planning for the whole of 2020/21 season to be played without allowing the fans to enter the stadiums because of coronavirus.

Coronavirus has forced the League chiefs to suspend all football games in England since March in which there have been deliberations on how the term can be completed.

There are proposals that the 2019/20 Premier League season be completed at neutral venues and the remaining games should be played behind closed doors.

All these things are currently been talked about by the authorities in charge of football in England as they are scared of what they will lose if the season is not completed.

According to the report on Sky Sports, Premier League clubs are expected to get coronavirus vaccines, and it will only come at the middle of 2021.

So the League body have to plan ahead with what they have so that football can continue in England.

The report added that the Premier League board have announced that failure to finish the 2019/20 season will result to them losing massive sum of £1 billion.

EPL clubs make majority of their money from broadcasting income and apart from that, their revenues stem mainly from matchday income and commercial deals.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are currently topping the Premier League standings with the hope of them winning the title at the end of the season.

It has been years that the Reds last won the English topflight, and their fans are eager for them to decorated with the medals this term.
