Chelsea winger Willian might be considering a move to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer after revealing that he and Spurs boss Jose Mourinho are friends.

The Brazilian winger will become a free agent this summer following the Blues' failure giving him an extension at Stamford Bridge.

Willian who has also been linked with a move to Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain admitted that he regularly speaks with the Portuguese born tactician.

According to SunSport, the 31-year-old forward was said to have demanded a new three-year extension but the London club is not ready to tie him down for that long.

Willian who has been out of action since the middle of March due to the outbreak of coronavirus found time to grant an interview while on lockdown.

The Blues' captain said on a Bolivia Talk Show: "Nothing arrived from Mourinho but we do have a good relationship, he’s a big friend of mine.

"We speak to each other sometimes but when it comes to that (speaking about transfers) he respects me a lot."

The attacker who joined Chelsea from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in a deal valued around £32 million seven years ago added that his family is comfortable in the English capital.

Answering questions about what the future holds, he said: "I like London and my family likes it too but that’s a question I don’t know how to answer.

"I don’t know which club I’m going to or if I’m staying here at Chelsea or if I’m leaving to another London club or if I’m leaving England, that’s something I don’t know."

Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge seven years ago, Willian has won two Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, one EFL Cup as well as one Europa League title.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea winger Willian could be on his way to Premier League rivals Arsenal after being reportedly offered to the Gunners by his agent Kia Joorabchian.

Super agent Kia Joorabchian feels Willian will be an excellent replacement for Gabonese striker Aubameyang who could move away from the Emirates stadium at the end of the season.

The Gabonese forward is entering the final year of his contract at Arsenal, and the striker has not agreed any new deal with the North London side.
