Chelsea superstar Ross Barkley has reportedly confirmed his readiness and willingness to search and meet his Nigerian father who is said to have abandoned his mother when he was a kid.

There have been reports for years now that the 26-year-old Ross Barkley is a Nigerian even though he has not come out publicly to confirm or speak on the situation.

According to some reports, his Nigerian father Peter Effanga left Ross' mother in England when the Chelsea star was just one year old.

And since then, the mother has been taking full responsibility raising Ross up alone before becoming a football star.

Brila FM claimed exclusively that Ross Barkley is currently looking for his father adding that he has not seen him ever since he was one year old.

“There’s one thing he wishes to do and that is meeting his father who is a Nigerian but left his mother when he was very young and hasn’t seen him since then.” Barkley is 26 year old.

Ross bears his mother’s maiden name Barkley instead of his real father’s name Effanga who was a construction worker with the railway in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Ross Barkley has been impressive since he joined Chelsea from Everton before the start of last Premier League season.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly concluded plans to make Victor Moses' loan deal permanent provided Chelsea will reduce the price slammed on him.

The Nigerian star joined the Italian League side on a short term loan deal from Premier League side Chelsea having spent the first half of the season at Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.

Moses has been on the Blues' payroll since 2012 after making a switch from Wigan Athletic but never got a chance to play at Stamford Bridge until the arrival of Antonio Conte in 2016.

The departure of the Italian born manager also saw the fortunes of the former Super Eagles star dwindled as he was bundled out to Turkey on loan Maurizio Sarri.

Revealed that Inter have an option to buy the player outrightly at the end of his short stay but that will only be made possible if the Premier League side is considering a pay cut.
