Nigerian lady cries for help as dad needs N12m for transplant

- A Nigerian lady has cried out over her father's need for a transplant that will cost N12 million

- The lady identified as Mercy Okoronkwo says only N2 million has been raised so far for the surgery

- She says her father is currently struggling to breathe, adding that time is fast running out

A Nigerian lady identified as Mercy Okoronkwo has taken to Twitter to call on Nigerians to rescue her father who needs to undergo a transplant.

Mercy said her father, who is currently struggling to breathe, needs N12 million for his transplant. The lady said out of N12 million, only N2.7 million has been raised.

She called on Nigerians to come to her family's aid, saying they are fast running out of time.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a man in the United States identified as Jason Garrett displayed a rare show of love for his 12-year-old dog Lola who needed to undergo major surgery for pre-heart failure.

Garrett drained his retirement savings to raise $45,000 (N16.3m) for the procedure, which is said to be 90% success rate, Global News reports.

The procedure has a 90 per cent success rate, according to the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital, where staff are learning how to do it.

In other news, Chiagozie Nweke, a physically challenged boy, has brought good fortunes to his family after he was found by Honourable Ipoola Ahmed Omisore, a former Lagos lawmaker.

The former lawmaker decided to help the little boy after a photo of him emerged on social media, in which he could be seen hawking sachet water despite his disability.

Anyichuks Foundation has announced its intention to build a two-bedroom apartment for the family which will commence almost immediately.

Before now, the foundation undertook the scholarship of the little boy from primary four (4) through university level.

Apart from the scholarship, one million naira was also given to the boy's parents to start a trade with professional supervision and advise from business experts to ensure the success of the business.
