The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 196 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, April 29, in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos 87 of the new cases, Kano has 24, Gombe 18, Kaduna 17, FCT 16, Katsina 10, Sokoto 8, Edo 7, Borno 6, Ebonyi 1, Yobe 1, and Adamawa 1.

At the time of this report, 1,728 cases have been confirmed, 307 cases have been discharged and 51 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the FCT. Not less than 12,828 tests have been conducted so far.

The new state joining the list of those with confirmed cases is Yobe.
