RB Salzburg, an Austrian club owned by Red Bull, are currently making waves in Europe and German star Oliver Kragl who spent two years playing against the club claims they can buy Cristiano Ronaldo, GOAL reports.
The drinks company moved to acquire the team in 2005 and their successes on the pitch have skyrocketed having won eight of the last ten league titles.
Salzburg have a huge reputation of acquiring young players and then they make huge profits after selling them.
Players like Sadio Mane, Erling Haaland and Naby Keita played at the club at different times.
Kragl insists that the club have the prowess to compete with top European clubs and can even purchase Juventus star Ronaldo.
"Red Bull Salzburg made the reigning Champions League holders Liverpool give everything at Anfield and got a draw in Naples," Kragl told Goal.
"Red Bull could probably buy Ronaldo tomorrow if they wanted to. I think Salzburg could do well in the German Bundesliga."
Ronaldo's move from Real Madrid to Juventus in 2018 cost the Italians almost £100m despite him being 33-years-old.
Los Blancos confirmed that the Portuguese superstar joined the Serie A champions for a reported fee of about 105 million euros ($123.24 million).
Recently, Shaun Wright-Phillips opened-up on how his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho inspired him to mark Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2007 FA Cup final.
Man United faced their familiar foes in the Cup final and Ronaldo had a growing reputation of out-running defenders with his blistering pace. Mourinho drafted Wright-Philipps to the right-hand to help Paulo Ferreira stop Ronaldo who was menacing on the right flank.
The Special One's tactics paid off as Didier Drogba scored the winner in extra time to clinch the FA Cup for the London club.
Wright-Phillips explains how Mourinho's tactics worked throughout that season and his impact on his career.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez have continued to update their fans on social media during the lockdown.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s lover was having a sweaty time in the gym when their 2-year-old daughter Alana Martina stole the scene as she tried applying make-up.
The family recently dumped their seven-story luxurious apartment for a £3,500-a-week rented home close to a quiet fishing village.
Ronaldo and his family reportedly moved to the new home due to its large space so he could drill himself. It will also afford his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their children to keep up with their fitness exercises.
