In efforts to end the insurgency war once and for all, the Nigerian military has disclosed that it will accept the offer if the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau decides to surrender.

According to the Army, if Shekau follows the laid down procedures for surrendering during conflict or war, the military will profile him according to international standard, Daily Trust reports.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that barely twenty hours after Chadian president, Idriss Déby asked him to surrender or be ready to die the leader of Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati Wal-Jihad also known as Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, has threatened to go after him.

He was reacting to the huge loss suffered by his sect in last week’s encounter with Chadian soldiers.

Legit.ng gathered that in less than five minutes of audio message released by the sect, a rather subdued Shekau said his fighters would go after the Chadian president for his war against the sect.

According to the newspaper, Shekau, who spoke in Hausa, said despite the setbacks inflicted on Boko Haram by the Chadian troops in an assault coordinated by Déby, the sect was ready to fight on.

He said: “Today is Monday, 6th in the month of, Insha Allahu, Shaaban, the Hijrah of the prophet of Allah, from Meccah to Medinah, 1441. We believe after this introduction, we heard certain things from Chad from a certain individual named Idriss Deby.
