Nigeria’s minister of education loses mother

Nigeria’s minister of education, Adamu Adamu, has lost his mother Fatima Adamu. According to Premium Times, the deceased passed away in the early hours of Friday morning, April 24.

This was revealed in a statement signed by the spokesperson of the federal education ministry, Ben Gooong.

Gooong who said the minister confirmed that the death of his mother, added that the burial took place in accordance with Muslim rights at Azare in Bauchi state.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Galadima of Dikwa and father of former governor of Borno state and national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Modu Sheriff, has died in his Maiduguri home.

In a related development, a close aide to Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reportedly died on Friday, April 24, in an undisclosed hospital.

The aide, Lati Raheem, was the chief security officer to the APC chieftain before his death. A source said Raheem died of complications from high blood pressure and diabetes on Friday, April 24.

“He was sick briefly and hospitalized. He had high blood pressure and diabetes. He died in early hours of Friday,” the source said.

Meanwhile, the special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, has revealed his last encounter with the Abba Kyari, the late chief of staff to the president.

Legit.ng reports that Adesina in his tribute to Kyari on Friday, April 24, recounted how the late chief of staff appeared in his dream the night before he died.

He recalled that in the dream which occurred on Thursday, April 16, the late Kyari, who stood to wait for him, “oddly” did not wear his usual ‘flowing Agbada’ and was heavily bearded.

The former chief of staff to the president died on Friday, April 17, after battling COVID-19. Adesina said he is not much of a dreamer and made nothing of the one in which Kyari appeared until after his death.
