Yul Edochie says father beat him for wanting to abandon school in JSS2

Nigerians are currently talking about their childhood experiences online and it has got a lot of people reminiscing on past memories. Even some celebrities are also reliving their childhood and it is funny that they were also mischievous as children.
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie is known to be outspoken on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, where he talks about various societal issues.
But the film star has joined other people to relieve his childhood experience to the surprise of many. According to Yul, he did something that made his father, veteran actor, Pete Edochie, to beat him.
The entertainer said that when he was in JSS2, he told his father that he does not want to go to school again. He stated that he informed his father that he would rather be an electrician who sold electrical appliances.

Yul remembered that his father said it was fine and then invited him into his room. According to the actor, after he followed his father into his room, he locked the door and pulled out his belt.
Yul, who hasn't forgotten the beating his father gave him that day, stated that it reset his brain to factory setting.
Noting his present position as a successful actor, Yul thanked his dad for making him realise the essence of education.
Although Yul's request does not seem strange as people from the eastern part of Nigeria are more business-oriented, however, not all parents want their children to go into business without having an education.
