Coronavirus: Prophet filmed claiming he can cure Covid-19 in 3 days
- A video surfaced online showing a prophet claiming he could heal people who were infected with Covid-19
- The religious leader, who allegedly hails from Mpumalanga, says he can cure people in three to five days
- South Africans were not impressed with the pastor's statements
A prophet, who reportedly preaches in Mpumalanga, has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. The religious leader was filmed saying he could cure the coronavirus.
He was heard saying:
"I want to pray for those people with corona, when I am done praying for them, they will take three to five days after that time, they will be healed. I have a solution to this coronavirus, I can cure it."
Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux shared the video on the social media platform and captioned it:
"This is prophet Jacob from Mpumalanga, he’s misleading people that he can heal corona virus as he has the cure."
The video gathered over 22 000 views in just a couple of hours.

South Africans immediately roasted the prophet and many joked he should be given a chance to prove himself.
Twitter user, @DronationB, commented:
"This one must go heal his people back home wherever he comes from."
Another tweep, @AuntyTot, wrote:
"He deserves a chance, he must touch one or two patients."

Prophet Jacob is not the only one who got heat for his statements. Legit.ng previously reported that a Nigerian Bishop Sam Zuga wrote an open letter to the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, and Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa state.
Bishop Zuga of House of Joy Ministry claims he has the solution to tackle the dreaded coronavirus and other ailments.

It was also reported TB Joshua categorically declared that the coronavirus would be over by 27 March.
Joshua's speech had a polarising effect. Many threw their weight behind him, but others reacted with disdain.
Numerous people questioned his prophetic ability based on the church building that collapsed without warning and others even labelled him a con artist.
