Kelechi Iheanacaho: Turkish club Trabzonspor show interest in signing Leicester City striker

Kelechi Iheanacho is being linked with a move to Turkish giants Trabzonspor.

Reports coming in from Turkey claim the club want the Leicester City striker as a replacement for their Norwegian forward Alexander Sorloth.

Sorloth is currently on loan from Premier League side Crystal Palace and could make a return to the London club in the summer.

Brazilian stars Wesley and Joelinton who play for Aston Villa and Newcastle respectively have also been linked to the Turkish club.

Iheanacho has resurrected his career at the King Power Stadium despite being linked with move to Turkey last summer.

The Super Eagles striker lost his place in the national team since the arrival of new manager Brendan Rodgers.

But the 23-year-old has clawed his way back into the Leicester squad and has been a key member of the team that is looking good for Champions League football next season.

Iheanacho has three goals and four assists in the League, including a late winner at home to Everton.

The 2015-16 Premier League champions are sitting comfortably in third position, eight points above Chelsea with nine games left to play.

Iheanacho was signed from Man City in the summer of 201 for £25million.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that John Mikel Obi has made his contributions to support the less privilege Nigerians survive during the lockdown amid COVID-19 crisis.
