Nigerian singer Jocey Joseph Ekwuazi, popularly known as Willie XO has spilled the beans while doing an Instagram live with controversial media personality Daddy Freeze on Saturday, April 18.

During the Instagram live, the two were discussing the music industry. Willie XO stated that DJs, television stations, and presenters refuse to play good songs because they are waiting for people to pay money.

Willie XO noted that he listens to the radio and knows his songs are better than most of what they play. He also revealed that once DJ Xclusive asked one of his staff to pay N500k to play his song.

The singer added that the presenters and DJs asking for his money are the same people who would come to the club and he would buy drinks for. He said he believes in give and take and he would rather not throw his money away.

According to him, he would pay if they treated him like they treat other musicians. He said because of who he is the amount presenters and DJs ask for to play his songs is higher than what they ask others to pay.

He complained that he does not get the honour he deserves. He added that his video for Comfort You is the best music video in Africa. He noted that he spent half a million on the video.

Meek Mill revealed that he donated his dream car, the 2018 Rolls Royce, to help people who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The rapper noted that the car was what motivated him to chase success.
