As Nigeria continues to battle with the coronavirus pandemic, the crime rate appears to have risen and a Lagos Island resident identified as Yaya Konate recently became a victim of these crimes.
In a video shared to his Instagram page (noble_barley_), Konate can be seen in tears narrating how she got robbed by armed robbers who he says, pointed a gun to his head and collected his iPhone alongside the N20k cash he had in the house. He revealed they also took his ATM card.
He wrote: "I just got rubbed by some groups of guys in my family house in Lagos Island with gun and cutlass, they pointed gun at me to collect my iPhone and 20k cash at hand they threatened to shoot me an I had to release all I had at hand including my ATM card. people are not even safe in their houses."

Obiora who is a mom, shared photos of the stray bullet which she revealed pierced through her POP ceiling before hitting the tiles with a loud bang. Clearly devastated by this, Obiora questioned the state of the country.
