Tragedy as DELSU former SUG president dies in drowning incident

- A young man identified as Efebe Augustine, recently died in a drowning incident on April 16

- According to reports, Augustine was a DELSU former SUG president had gone swimming with his friends

- However, his legs got caught in a rope trapping him after which he eventually drowned

The family and friends of a young man identified as Efebe Augustine, have been thrown into mourning following his tragic death.

Efebe who was a former Student Union Government (SUG) president at Delta state university, died on April 16.

According to reports, Efebe had gone to swim in the company of his friends at a river in Abraka, Delta state. However, he swam towards the restricted area and his leg got hooked by a rope, preventing him from saving himself.

Sadly, by the time local divers were alerted and dived in to save him, he was already dead and his body was retrieved from the river and has since been moved to the morgue.

In another story, a Nigerian lady identified as Tina Obiora certainly has more reasons to thank God as she recently escaped being killed by a stray bullet in Lagos.

Obiora who is a mom, shared photos of the stray bullet which she revealed pierced through her POP ceiling before hitting the tiles with a loud bang. Clearly devastated by this, Obiora questioned the state of the country.

She wrote: "What kind of useless country is this? You are staying at home, wahala, you are outside wahala From no where this bullet just pierced our POP and hit the tiles with a loud bang... By Gods Grace no one was hurt."

In similar news, social media went abuzz a while ago with the tragic passing of a Nigerian pastor and his two children (a boy and a girl) in Spain on the eve of Christmas, 2019.

Identified as Gabriel Diya, the 52-year-old pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, his 16-year-old son, Praise Emmanuel and 9-year-old daughter, Comfort, drowned inside the swimming pool in the Costa del Sol resort in Southern Spain on December 24.

The pastor was on a family vacation with his wife and their children. Unfortunately, his daughter Comfort got into difficulty while playing in one of the 21 swimming pools in the resort.

Meanwhile, fans and supporters of top Hollywood actor Chadwick Boseman are seriously concerned about his dramatic weight loss.

Just recently, the Black Panther star shared a video on his official Instagram page in which he talked about his efforts towards rendering assistance to hospitals that serve African-American communities, amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
