102-year-old woman becomes social media subject as she is celebrated

There are only a handful of people in the world who are older than 100 years and a couple of them are right here in Mzansi.

On Monday, a woman, Rhuu Tshikovha, took to the #ImStaying Facebook page to gush about her grandmother.

Tshikovha posted snaps of her grandmother - who looked stunning with long hair and dressed in a blue dress that made her look younger.

However, despite her youthful appearance, Tshikovha revealed her granny is 102 years old.

She captioned the post: "My granny Sarah is 102 years old and still going strong. We thank God for the gift of life."

South Africans were wowed by the gorgeous centenarian and they wished gogo Sarah a happy birthday.

Boitumelo Gugu commented: "Granny on fleek, happy birthday."

Cordelia N Marwayi added: "Happy birthday Gogo. Wow it's a blessing of years, may God keep her strong."

Nancy Titus said: "Wow! Happy birthday dear grandma! God bless you abundantly!"

Jo Cossavella wrote: "What a glam granny. It shows you are never too old to look smart. Age is just a number."

Legit.ng earlier reported how an old Nigerian woman was recently celebrated in Ibadan, Oyo state. The woman who lives in Ibadan is said to be 143 years old. A video of the 143-year-old woman is currently making rounds on social media.

The old woman was visited by Nigerian philanthropist, Adepeji Olukokun.
