- Former BBNaija star Tacha has called on the government to provide means of survival to Nigerians

- The ex-reality star made the call after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered a 14-day extension of the lockdown

- Tacha stated that nobody would follow the health guidelines if they are hungry

Former Big Brother Naija star Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has taken to social media to call on the federal government of Nigeria to provide a means of survival during coronavirus lockdown

President Muhammadu Buhari addressed the nation on Monday, April 13. He reminded Nigerians that the pandemic is not a joke and asked people to take it seriously.

In his address, Buhari ordered a new 14-day lockdown in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun state, which is an extension of the previous lockdown. Tacha made the call to the government after his address.

Tacha advised the government to use the Bank Verification Number to send funds to people. She also listed other means of survival that should be provided to the people. She listed things like food, electricity, security and water.

The former reality star added that anyone who is hungry would not practice the health guidelines given to people to curb the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that popular Nigerian media personality and beauty mogul, Toke Makinwa, has taken to social media to call on the federal government to help Nigerians to survive during the new lockdown extension order.

Makinwa took to the popular micro-blogging platform to share her thoughts. She asked the federal government to try and provide funds for Nigerians during the extension. According to her, even N10,000 would go a long way.

She added that since most Nigerians now have Bank Verification Number it would be easy. The media personality said the government cannot let people who rely on their income to stay at home for another 14 days without any money. She said the new extension would be harder
