- Bassey James Hon Ali Gambo say they believe in Abba Kyari
- According to them, those abusing the chief of staff have nothing against him
- They consequently urged Nigerians to understand him better because he meant well for Nigeria
Following the barrage of criticism that followed their support for chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari security expert, James Bassey and Hon Ali Gambo, an Abuja based businessman, have insisted that their support for him is based on patriotism.
According to them, Kyari has done well for the country and does not deserve the frequent abuse and evil wishes being sponsored against him.
They also reiterated that no amount of intimidation, abuse and harassment can change their minds on standing up for a "man who has done no wrong by attending to a national call of duty in Germany'.
According to them, they came under heavy criticism and abuses for rising to condemn the fake news which was targetted on the chief of staff who unfortunately contracted the virus.
"We wonder why some people derived joy in wishing the chief of staff evil despite his selfless. We are happy that the wishes of the enemies have not come to pass."
Going further, they insisted that their support and stand have no political leaning but an act nationalism based on Abba Kyrai contribution to the development of the country.
"The level at which people abused us over our support for the chief of staff is very scary. This should not be so. We wrote in support of Kyari because we saw that he has good intentions for the country.
"The sad thing is that most people abusing him have nothing specific against him. If you ask them today to point out the exact thing the chief of staff did wrong a against them, you will be surprised that they will be unable to point out a significant thing," they said in a statement sent to Legit.ng.
