This year every Christian across the world is celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Easter, this Sunday, April 12. Normally, Christians would be in churches celebrating but due to the coronavirus lockdown, Christians in Nigerian states observing the lockdown are in their houses.
The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has shown Nigerians that he is a leader that leads by example by joining the rest of the Christians in lockdown around the world in observing the Easter Sunday service from home.
Sanwo-Olu shared a post on Twitter to show Nigerians how he was celebrating Easter. He noted that he and his wife worshipped online for the celebration.

In his tweet, the governor said they prayed for their family, Lagos state, and Nigeria. The governor also shared a piece of advice.
According to him, Easter offers people the opportunity to rethink their relationships as individuals, as communities, and as a nation.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome recently reacted to the move by some state governors to temporarily relax the lockdown law so that some churches can celebrate Easter.
During his preaching on Friday, April 10, the cleric said that a church is not a place of infection but where people come to get blessed. He, therefore, prayed against anything that makes people come into the church and get infected with diseases.
“Churches are not a place of infections, they are a place of blessings… I decree and declare that every church is a place of blessing in that might name of Jesus,” he prayed.

He said: “You know the best thing in any government is to always leave the church alone… It’s always the best thing, the wisest leaders understand that, they leave the church alone. But when you trouble the church, there is a scripture.”
