Mom officiates her daughters' graduation at home, inspires many

- A woman, Crystal Janice Ross, and her sister finished varsity this year

- However, due to the coronavirus and lockdown, they could not have a graduation ceremony

- So, they held the most special graduation at their home with their mom awarding the degrees

Things don't always work out as planned but one family did not let that ruin their special day. Crystal Janice Ross and her sister, Jady, were both set to graduate this year.

However, with the lockdown due to the coronavirus, the university cancelled the graduation ceremony.

On Wednesday, Ross wrote on the #ImStaying Facebook page that she was supposed to have her second graduation and Jady would have had her first.

"With lockdown, we decided to still have our ceremony," she wrote.

Their mother was the lecturer who awarded the homemade certificates and two graduates' gowns were made of tablecloths.

The owner of 80 apartments in Williamsburg wrote a note to each of his tenants to inform them about the decision.

It should be noted that even before the generosity became known, some of his tenants were already worried about how they would pay up considering that most of them were out of jobs because of the lockdown.
