Coronavirus: Lagos state discharges 7 patients

Lagos state government has announced that a seven-man batch of coronavirus (Covid-19) patients has been released from the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) lYaba.
Governor Olusola Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the announcement on Thursday, April 9, in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.
The governor said the patients were released after testing negative twice to the Covid-19 pandemic and fully recovered.
Legit.ng notes that this brings to 39 the number of discharged patients in Lagos.
"Today, we discharged 7 more patients who have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively for #COVID19," the governor said.
According to Governor Sanwo-Olu, the patients include one female and six males. Three of the discharged male patients are foreign nationals; two Ukrainians and one Italian.
The Lagos governor implored the people of the state to support the government's aggressiveness on the fight against coronavirus in the state.
He added that health workers will be moving around in pairs to administer an electronic questionnaire at homes and healthcare facilities to make enquiries about some common symptom.
"This is in a bid to intensify our search for possible cases of #COVID19 in different communities across the State known as *Active Case Search*.
"These officials can be identified with a #COVID19 outbreak response tag or a letter from the LGA" the governor added.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Osun government has announced that it has discharged one of the index cases of coronavirus pandemic in the state alongside 109 returnees who tested negative.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola made this known during a Covid-19 press briefing on Sunday evening, April 5, at the state secretariat in Osogbo, Osun state capital.
The patient was discharged after testing negative twice to the virus in accordance with the guideline of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the governor disclosed.
