A Nigerian writer identified as Deoye has revealed the relief package his father was given by the Lagos state government. Deoye said that his father was given the relief materials to share with the 120 houses in his zone.

Since the lockdown was announced, Nigerian have been bemoaning its effects on their source of livelihood while calling for the help of the government.

The government seemed to have heard the cries of their people as they bought many bags of food and shared the photos on social media to let Nigerians know that the relief packages will get to them.

Lagos is one of the states heeding the calls of their people and they have assured residents that their relief materials would get to them. While some said they have received their relief packages, they lamented the contents.

According to these people, the contents in the packages can barely feed a family for a few weeks.

Taking to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, Nigerian writer Deoye described the relief packages from the Lagos state government as a sham.

Deoye said that his dad, who is the chairman of the landlord association in his area was at the distribution centre to collect the package meant for them.

The writer revealed that his dad was given only one 5kg bag of rice, 3 sachet tomatoes and garri for 120 houses in his zone.

According to Deoye, his dad's executives were really disappointed because the package could barely feed 120 houses.
