Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has written an open letter to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on behalf of Lagosians. The actor took to his social media page to call on the Lagos state governor to help his people.

Since the lockdown happening across the country, Nigerians have not stopped complaining about its effect, one of which is hunger. Many people have taken to their social media page to lament about a lack of money and starvation.

While some people have started rejoicing about how the lockdown in Lagos would come to an end soon, Sanwo-Olu said that the state may extend the lockdown so as to effectively manage the pandemic situation.

Reacting to this, Uche has called on the governor to give out N25, 000 each to Lagosians if the lockdown will be extended. According to him, hunger is worse than the pandemic in the state.

Speaking on the power of starvation, Uche Maduagwu said that it was hunger that ended the fighting spirits of Igbos during the civil war. He condemned the act of copying international countries in doing lockdown without the necessary palliative for the masses.

Noting that millions of Nigerians live on less than one dollar per day, the actor said that the lockdown would affect people negatively and make them cry out in serious pain.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Uche Maduagwu shared how he intended to spend Valentine with DJ Cuppy. Maduagwu via a post on his Instagram page expressed his wish to spend the lover’s day with DJ Cuppy. The actor categorically stated that his wish is to kiss the young DJ’s lips and toes for two hours, with rose petals falling over the both of them like raindrops. The actor went on to wish DJ Cuppy a happy celebration in advance.
