Philippe Coutinho had been receiving several warnings from Neymar via WhatsApp messages before he signed for Barcelona, reports claim.

Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 for a world record fee of £200million from Camp Nou while Coutinho made a January switch to the opposite direction in 2018.

And reports in Spain claim Neymar had sent several text messages to his compatriot to convince him to join PSG instead.

Three years on, the situation has changed for Coutinho as he struggled to make his £140m move from Anfield count.
